S/V Marissa Update From Mom
Hi everyone,
Spoke to Shannon & Mike last night. Currently they may wait until Friday to leave Ensenada due to an expected storm, although that is always subject to change depending on the weather. They won’t be stopping at San Quintin. Next planned stop is an inlet recommended to them on Islas San Benito, a very small island to the west of Isla de Cedros and a little bit north and west of Tortuga Bay. From there I think they will go on to Tortuga Bay and then to Magdalena Bay before heading on to Cabo, etc. They successfully got their Mexican Visas and other paperwork done yesterday and are working on getting cell phones updated to Mexican numbers. Weather there is beautiful, tacos are delicious, and they already met up with another couple who are making the same voyage and coincidentally have the same type of sailboat as Shannon & Mike’s.
