Lobster For Candy

Hi Everyone! We were so stoked to have made it to Santa Maria Cove. Leaving Turtle Bay, the boat was smoking from the engine compartment and we had to go back and anchor again. After a few hrs. working on the motor, I had fixed the problem (lose motor belts). It seems like I’m always working on something and then holding my breath waiting for the next thing needing fixing, but I think that’s boat life, LOL. It was a long distance for us novice sailors, but we seem to be getting the hang of all this. We were greeted by some nice fishermen that had a basket full of lobsters and were ready to barter. The young one asked if I had candy? If any of you reading this have known me long, you know I was packing plenty of it. So for about 10 Tootsie Roll Pops, some Chico Stick Bites, and a sleeve of Oreo cookies, I got three nice size lobbies and were they ever good. We had dinner out in the cockpit and It was just he best night yet. It feels good to be south. The air and water are starting to be warmer and things couldn’t be better. Tomorrow we plan on doing some hiking and I’m hopeful to dive for some fish by way of hunting them with the spear gun.
